New Mexico/Colorado (September 2004)

P9111389.jpg

I took 990 photos (with my Olympus 5050Z digital camera) on this trip into the northern part of New Mexico and southwest Colorado. Scenery in that region is spectacular, especially on the 4x4-only roads in Colorado. Here are the most interesting photos from that trip.

New Mexico (April 2003)

P4120388.JPG.jpg

Stu and I drove to New Mexico in his Jeep so we could drive on some rather challenging roads. We found a few and encountered beautiful or otherwise interesting sights. Here is a sample of what we saw. All photos in this album were taken with my Olympus 3040Z digital camera.

Great Lakes (May-June 2002)

SPa1010028.jpg

Stu and I traveled from Oklahoma to northern Minnesota, took the North Shore drive around Lake Superior, then visited my former residences in Alpena (Michigan), Moline (Illinois), and Canton (Illinois). I took about 400 photos on the trip with my Olympus 3040Z digital camera, and those presented here are the best or most interesting of the lot.

Texas (April-May 2002)

SP4302732.jpg

My parents and I went to Texas in late April and early May of 2002. The primary attractions were the botanical gardens in Austin (Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center), San Antonio and Fort Worth, and the Texas State Aquarium. The photos presented here are the best of the more than 400 that I took with my Olympus 3040Z digital camera.

Stu and I took the Spring Trail up as far as the steps (shown here) go, decided it wasn't for us (at least given the amount of time we had left to hike), and ended up going the other way on the Spring Trail (toward the Jordan Pond House). This photo was taken near the southeastern-most extent of Mount Penobscot.
