Alaska/Yukon 2010
Anchorage, Whitehorse, Fairbanks
Tuesday June 15 through Thursday June 24
Lindsay (a friend and former coworker) and I traveled by rental car from Anchorage AK to Whitehorse YT and Fairbanks AK, then back to Anchorage in June of 2010. This trip included seeing the sun still above the horizon at midnight AKDT in Fairbanks, although the sun did set less than an hour later, then rose again in only a couple of hours. The farthest point north that I had ever been (65.0006 deg N latitude) was also established on this trip. That record was beaten by the trip to Norway in 2015.
